SDÍLET:

A research team from the NCC for MATCA has developed a biosensor for the detection of coronavirus from air samples in metro stations and vestibules and from swabs taken onboard vehicles of the Prague Public Transit Company.  The device was taking samples of air for about 20–30 minutes at the rate of 80–160 litres per minute. Altogether about 500 samples were taken and sent to a laboratory to be analysed. The results will be announced in May. The goal of the testing is to confirm or disprove the assumption that the city transportation system is one of the main sources of Covid-19. This assumption has already been disproved by a similar study commissioned by the London city transport network.
