NCK MATCA at EDID 2025: Tungsten and Ultra-Thin Structures on Display

From May 14th to 16th, 2025, we took part in the European Defence Innovation Days (EDID) in Krakow, hosted by the European Defence Agency (EDA). Our presence focused on showcasing technologies with high potential for defence applications – ranging from unique metal 3D prints made from tungsten to cutting-edge ultra-thin structures developed within the EDA CapTech Materials project AMALIA, in collaboration with partners including CARDAM and with contributions from NCK MATCA.

Digitalization of Cooling Processes for Aluminum Components in Industrial Manufacturing

ThetaBox is an innovative device that enables real-time monitoring of key parameters in the foundry production process. By tracking temperatures, flow rates, and pressures, it enhances control over production, resulting in improved quality and efficiency in industrial casting part manufacturing.

General Meeting NCK MATCA 2024

On 1 October 2024, the General Assembly of the NCK MATCA was held. The event was attended by 25 partners who contributed their valuable opinions and experiences to the future direction of the centre.

Advanced additive technologies are making their way into the nuclear energy industry

The collaboration between scientists from NCK MATCA and the Institute of Nuclear Fuels is delivering the desired results.

Innovation in Superconductivity

New opportunities in the development of superconducting materials are being opened up by the joint research of scientists from NCK MATCA of the Physics Institute of CAS and industrial partners CAN SUPERCONDUCTORS.
