There are altogether 24 academic and industrial facilities across different parts of the Czech Republic participating in the NCC for MATCA that share a common interest in advanced technologies R&D.

Thanks to the success in the public competition of the Program of the National Center of Competence (2022), announced by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) we continue on providing very perspective cooperation and applied research at NCC MATCA 2, which has successfully expanded to include 4 other partners (Institute for Hydrodynamics of the CAS, v. v. i., SHM, s. r. o., ad-tech s.r.o. and Advanced Metal Powders s.r.o.)

Institute of Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovations (CxI) is a part  of the Technical University in Liberec. CxI focuses on all aspects of additive manufacturing, with emphasis placed on the cooperation with industry’s biggest players. Its research work deals with the development and testing of new materials for thermoplastics additive technologies (FDM, FFF), photopolymers (SLA, Polyjet) and metals (SLM).

CxI is participating in more than 80 research projects at national and international level, including the TAČR and HORIZON 2020 projects. In the past 3 years, it has registered 32 patents, 13 prototypes and 31 utility models. CxI is a leader in researching metals, non-metals, and plastics suitable for 3D printing and fusion jet technologies.
