The National Competence Center focuses on a wide range of research, encompassing both applied and fundamental research. Key areas include additive manufacturing, plasma technologies, lasers and optics, material research, computer simulations, analytical methods, and digitalization. The center covers the entire research process, from the study of physical phenomena to the design and development of technologies, prototyping, and certification of final devices. Activities are carried out through individual projects of NCK MATCA, programs supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, and collaborative contract work.
A case study is a detailed analysis of a specific project aimed at gaining deeper understanding and evaluation of a given problem in the context of real-world application. Case studies are essential for bridging theory and practice, which is one of the primary goals of NCK MATCA.
